What to Do When You’re Tired of Trying

“Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” —Galatians 6:9 (NIV)

Let’s be real, Wife to Wife.

You’ve prayed. You’ve talked. You’ve cried in the shower and smiled in public. You’ve read the books, tried the advice, and kept showing up when your heart was barely hanging on.

And still... it feels like nothing is changing.

If you’re exhausted—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—please hear me clearly:

You are not weak. You are worn. There’s a difference.

And I want to encourage you today: God sees every quiet sacrifice, every tear you didn’t have words for, every time you kept loving when you felt unloved.

You’re tired… but you’re not alone.

💔 The Weight of One-Sided Effort

Marriage is not 50/50. It’s 100/100. But when you’re carrying the emotional and spiritual weight of the relationship alone, it begins to feel like 150/0.

That’s when weariness sets in—not just tiredness, but soul-fatigue. It’s not just your body that wants to rest—it’s your hope.

“Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” —Galatians 6:9 (NIV)

God doesn’t ignore your effort. He multiplies it. But sometimes, He also calls you to pause and receive before you pour again.

🌱 What to Do When You’re Weary in Your Marriage

1. Rest in God—Before Reacting to Him

Sometimes what looks like marital burnout is actually spiritual depletion. You’re tired not just from what’s happening, but from trying to fix it in your own strength.

Go back to the source of your strength. Sit with God—not just asking for answers, but receiving peace.

“Be still and know…” doesn’t mean give up. It means let God be God.

2. Reframe Progress

Healing isn’t loud. Sometimes the most powerful growth is happening underground—in the quiet obedience, in the patient endurance, in the not quitting.

Don’t measure progress only by his actions. Measure it by your intentional steps of faith.

3. Ask for Help—You Weren’t Meant to Carry It Alone

You are a strong woman. But even strong women need support.

Whether that’s through prayer, a trusted friend, or a wife coach who understands the journey, don’t suffer in silence. There is no shame in needing guidance.

💬 It’s Okay to Be Tired—Just Don’t Quit Yet

Sis, the fact that you’re still here, still fighting, still loving… is a testimony all its own.

God is not finished with your story. And this season of exhaustion? It might just be the soil for your next breakthrough.
